The New Taipei Metro Corporation announces today it will pilot a late-night train schedule for the Danhai Light Rail route.
Passengers can now travel from Hong-shu-lin Station to Kanding Station past midnight on the new temporary schedule.
The transit corporation says the new timetable is in response to demand from residents living near the stations, and for two months, the last train is scheduled to run at 12:31AM.
Additionally, in order to reduce train congestion during the current COVID-19 outbreak, it will increase the number of trips starting June 6 from Monday to Friday between Bin-hai Sha-lun Station and Hong-shu-lin Station.
The interval of morning trains from 6 to 9am will be shortened from 7.5 minutes to an average 5 to 6 minutes.
Departure times during the 5 to 8pm rush hour will also be adjusted in accordance with the arrival of trains at the Taipei MRT Tamsui Station.
