T-34 sustains minor damage, pilots safe in Kaohsiung incident
Posted on 2026-11-04 14:05:13
Officials say, 2 pilots on a T-34 trainer aircraft are safe after a bumpy
landing at Gangshan Air Force Base in Kaohsiung.

The plane itself apparently sustained "minor damage" to its nose during a
training exercise.

Officials confirmed the reports about DPP Lawmaker Luo Mei Ling asked about
the incident during a legislative meeting.

Officials add that the military has ruled out mechanical failure and
determined that the incident was caused by "technical error."

The runway was closed following the incident but was expected to reopen
shortly.
