Coast Guard questioning ship captain in escaped aide case
Posted on 2026-11-04 14:05:13
The Coast Guard Administration is questioning a ship captain believed to have
helped a former legislative aide escape the country.

That's after the Ocean Affairs Council said this morning that they believe
Zhang Jun Jie張俊傑 left the country from Keelung at the end of last month.

Zhang is suspected of conspiring with lawmaker Gao Jin Su Mei, who faces
corruption charges for allegedly embezzling assistant fees.

The CGA says, they were able to track down the captain of the ship that is
believed to have helped Zhang escape, although the ship that is believed to
have aided the escape did not turn up any clues as to Zhang's whereabouts.

Zhang jumped bail nearly two months ago and has been on the run ever since.
