Over 64 percent of people said they feel confident using financial products
and services ... in the most recent Taiwan Financial Life Survey ... a 25
percent increase from two years ago.

The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance, which conducted the survey, says
the improvement comes amid a booming stock market, strong demand for
artificial intelligence and continued economic growth.

It also found that nearly 87 percent of people can comfortably cover their
daily living expenses ... while just over half have enough savings to cover
at least six months of basic needs.

And ... interviews with university students revealed a growing trend of young
people investing in stocks and exchange-traded funds, or E-T-Fs ... treating
them as a way to save money and protect against inflation.

However, researchers warn that young investors may be underestimating the
risks ... while people aged 70 and over continue to face difficulties using
digital financial services.
