ASE raises advanced IC assembly, testing sales forecast for 2026

ASE Technology has raised its investment budget and sales forecast for
advanced chip packaging and testing, as demand for AI chips continues to
grow.

The world's largest chip packaging and testing company now expects revenue
from its advanced operations to reach four-billion U-S dollars this year, up
from its previous forecast of 3.7 billion.

The company's chief financial officer says revenue from the business is
expected to double again in 2027.

A-S-E has also increased its capital spending budget by one-billion U-S
dollars to 11.5 billion, with half of the additional funding going toward new
factories and the rest toward equipment.

The company also reported record third-quarter net profit of nearly
27-billion NT, up 148 percent from a year earlier.

ASE expects sales to grow another six to eight percent in the fourth quarter,
with profit margins also set to improve.
