PHP Security Flaws Force 22 Websites Offline
Posted on 2026-10-29 14:51:14
22 websites have been temporarily taken offline as authorities address
serious security flaws in PHP, a programming language used to run websites.

The Administration for Cyber Security says nearly 800 websites and systems
across almost 300 government agencies were affected.

As of yesterday, 460 had been patched.

The flaws could let attackers run code remotely without logging in, putting
services and data at risk.

Officials say older systems have slowed repairs.

Most of the websites taken offline belong to local governments or academic
research institutions.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs says there is no single deadline for
completing the remaining work, because systems need testing after repairs.

Agencies must report their progress daily.
