Taiwan People's Party Chairman Huang Kuo-chang is calling on authorities to identify those responsible for a series of cyberattacks on the party's website and internal systems.
Huang made the remarks as he visited the Criminal Investigation Bureau to file a criminal complaint.
He described the attacks as targeted and systematic, saying hackers had attempted to seize control of the party's website and lock out its administrators.
Huang says the attacks also targeted a policy database containing sensitive information, including meeting records and party policy documents.
He says the latest attack forced the party to temporarily shut down its official website.
