Ex-envoy to Geneva removed from post after workplace bullying findings

The Taiwanese representative to Switzerland, Greg Lee, has been removed from
his post following an investigation that concluded he had engaged in
workplace bullying.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that Lee has returned to Taiwan and is
now working at MOFA's Taipei offices.

The statement comes after reports said that the Cabinet had approved the
ministry's recommendation to recall Lee to Taipei.

An investigation determined that Lee frequently "shouted and yelled" during
meetings and repeatedly criticized some subordinates.

The team concluded that Lee had indeed abused his position of power and
created a hostile work environment.

As to accusations that Lee had misused public resources, MOFA did not say if
those allegations were being investigated or not.
