Pingtung magisterial candidate apologizes again over "childless" remarks

KMT Candidate for Pingtung Magistrate Su Qing Quan is apologizing again over
comments he made in which he criticized his opponent for not having kids.

Su made the comments over the weekend, saying that current magistrate Zhou
Chun Mi could not know the pains of raising a child due to having none of her
own.

The comments produced swift backlash, with Zhou's campaign office saying that
they condemned the remarks as discriminatory, adding that details about
politicians' private lives should not become political fodder.

He apologized shortly after making the comments Sunday, saying he was sorry
"if his remarks were offensive to his opponent."

Today he stated that his statements were inappropriate.
