Traffic Expected in Afternoon of Long Weekend Last Day

National highway traffic remained smooth this morning, but heavy northbound
return vehicle flows are expected throughout the afternoon.

The Freeway Bureau recorded 25.4 million vehicle-kilometers driven by 11
a.m., matching initial transport forecasts.
and morning congestion remained
limited to minor slowdowns along northern sections of National Highway 1.

But highway officials warned that heavy northbound return traffic will build
rapidly across 11 designated corridor bottlenecks this afternoon, including
northbound National Highway 1 from Xiluo to Puyan, and National Highway 3
from Guanxi to Daxi.

Authorities advise motorists to check the 1968 highway app and travel during
off-peak hours to avoid severe delays.
