Golden Bell Awards announce typhoon contingency plan
Posted on 2026-10-22 14:49:14
Tomorrow's Golden Bell Awards ceremony for television programs could be
postponed to Sunday because of Typhoon Champi.

Organizer Sanlih (三立) Entertainment Television announced yesterday that the
change would take effect if Taipei suspends work and classes tomorrow.

The drama awards remain scheduled for Saturday, also subject to the city's
closure decision.

Both ceremonies are set to take place at the Taipei Music Center.

If they go ahead, the red-carpet events will move inside the performance hall
and be closed to public spectators.

Organizers say the measures are intended to protect nominees, staff and the
public from strong winds and rain.

People without ceremony tickets are being asked not to visit the venue.
