Micron Taoyuan Union Plans One-Day Strike in Support of Taichung Workers
Posted on 2026-10-20 18:25:13
A union representing Micron Technology workers in Taoyuan plans to stage a
one-day strike on Thursday ...

.... in support of workers at the company's Taichung plant, who are
negotiating with management over profit-sharing arrangements.

The Taoyuan union, which secured the right to strike earlier this month, is
calling on Micron to propose a concrete plan for sharing company profits with
workers.

The strike coincides with the second round of mediation talks between Micron
and the Taichung union - also scheduled for Thursday.

The Taoyuan union's own mediation talks with the company ended without an
agreement in September.

Micron says it respects workers' legal rights and remains committed to
constructive discussions with both unions.
