Russia Arrests Swedish Man Accused of Illegal Border Crossing

Russia's Federal Security Service says it has arrested a Swedish citizen
accused of illegally crossing the border.

The F-S-B says the man was detained in the northwestern Pskov region, but has
not released his name.

The agency claims the man previously served in a military drone unit in
Ukraine and fought against Russian forces.

It also alleges that he said he wanted to join the Russian military as a
cover for plans to sabotage Russian military facilities.

Sweden's Foreign Ministry says it is aware of media reports but is not
currently handling such a case.

The Swedish Embassy in Moscow has declined to comment.
