The Health Promotion Administration is reminding adults in their 30s to get their health checkups.
The HPA says government data showed over 355-thousand young adults took advantage of subsidized health screenings after eligibility was lowered to age 30 last year.
And results revealed that nearly 50 percent of participants aged 30 to 39 were overweight or obese, while nearly 20 percent had elevated blood lipids.
The administration is urging the public to take advantage of the government's incentive program, which awards 800 Health Coins to citizens who complete subsidized adult health checkups.
And officials say an additional 800 Health Coins are available for individuals undergoing lifetime public screenings for hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
