WBC outfielder Stuart Fairchild to visit Taiwan in November

Taiwanese-American baseball player Stuart Fairchild, who hit two home runs
for Taiwan at this year's World Baseball Classic, will visit Taiwan next
month.

His agency says the trip will give him a chance to experience the enthusiasm
of Taiwanese fans in person, although dates and other details have yet to be
announced.

Fairchild, nicknamed "Feizai" (費仔) by Taiwanese fans, hit a grand slam
against the Czech Republic and a two-run homer against South Korea, helping
Taiwan win both games.

He is also scheduled to receive a Taiwan Employment Gold Card at a public
ceremony in November, allowing him greater flexibility to work and live in
Taiwan.

Fairchild made his Major League Baseball debut in 2021 and has played for
several teams, including the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds.
