Chiang fights off accusations of having "no new ideas"
Posted on 2026-10-13 17:09:13
Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan An is attempting to fight off accusations that he has
"no new ideas..."

pointing to plans for urban renewal in Nan Jichang (南機場) as evidence.

The mayor's comments come after Tainan DPP lawmaker Lin Jun Xian 林俊憲 remarked
that Chiang lacked new ideas of and only discussed his free milk policy and
the Taipei Dome.

Chiang attended a ceremonial signing this morning for an urban renewal plan
in Nan Jichang, and said that Lin should "be sure" of what he was saying, as
the project marks a milestone for urban renewal in the city.

The mayor also cited MRT construction on the yellow line and the reduction of
working hours for parents as original ideas of his.
