Atlanta Dream, Golden State Valkyries to face each other in WNBA finals
Posted on 2026-10-10 13:09:13
Angel Reese scored 22 points and Rhyne Howard added 21 as the Atlanta Dream
beat the New York Liberty 85-83 to advance to the WNBA Finals for the first
time since 2013.

The fourth-seeded Dream completed a three-game sweep of the Liberty.

Meanwhile, Kayla Thornton scored 18 points and the second-year Golden State
Valkyries became the expansion team to reach the WNBA Finals the quickest,
sweeping the defending champion Las Vegas Aces 87-77 in overtime.

A'ja Wilson scored 21 points in a disappointing night for the WNBA MVP.

The two teams will face each other next Friday at Chase Center in San
Francisco.
