Debates between KMT and DPP Taipei mayoral candidates
Posted on 2026-10-06 17:33:13
Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an and DPP Taipei mayoral candidate Puma Shen have
reached a consensus on their televised debate organized by TVBS.

But there's no timeline for that debate yet.

Shen proposed earlier to make drug policy the topic of their first debate,
and Chiang said today that any municipal issue could be discussed, including
drug policy and the candidates' respective positions.

Chiang has also promised to take part in other debates between him and his
DPP rival, saying that's what he did 4 years ago and that they included a
cross-examination segment as well.

Asked why he had chosen TVBS when several other media outlets had also
invited the candidates to debate, Chiang only said the two sides have agreed
to let their staff work out the details.
