Nikkei: Xinjiang's 1st Starbucks draws ire from US

A US lawmaker is calling on Starbucks to close its first stores in China's
East Turkestan province...

John Moolenaar, a Republican, called the decision to open a Starbucks there a
"morally bankrupt" one...

given the PRC's ongoing widespread abuse of Uyghur Muslims in the region.

Starbucks opened its first two stories this week in the capital of East
Turkestan, including one at the city center's grand bazaar and a second at
its international airport.
