Former President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) will give the opening keynote at a technology and national security conference at Stanford University next week.
It will be Tsai's first visit to the United States since leaving office in 2024.
Tsai's office says she will speak at Stanford DEFCON on October 7 and share Taiwan's experience in critical technology and national security.
The annual conference brings together figures from academia, government, the military and technology industries to discuss emerging technologies and their security implications.
This year's topics include artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, space technology and other areas linked to national security.
Tsai's office says her speech will focus on Taiwan's experience and its role in critical technologies and democratic resilience.
