Fuel surcharges for international flights from Taiwan will increase next week.
The Civil Aviation Administration says surcharges for flights operated by Taiwanese carriers will rise from October 7th due to higher international fuel prices.
The surcharge for short-haul flights will increase to 37-and-a-half U-S dollars, while long-haul flights will rise to 97-and-a-half U-S dollars.
The CAA says this is the third consecutive month that fuel surcharges have increased.
It has also asked airlines to provide passengers with sufficient information on the adjustment, including fuel costs and their proportion of a flight's total expenses, to address consumer concerns.
