U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have wrapped up a three-day summit in Washington with few major public breakthroughs.
The two leaders agreed to extend their current trade truce by two months, while U.S. officials say limited agreements were also reached on agricultural trade and other goods.
But major differences remain over Taiwan, technology and China's ties with Iran.
Xi urged Trump to oppose Taiwan independence and handle the issue with caution.
Trump has yet to publicly detail his response or say whether he will move ahead with a pending 14-billion U.S. dollar arms package for Taiwan.
The two leaders are expected to meet again later this year at the APEC and G20 summits.
The White House confirms Xi's state visit concluded Friday following tea at the White House and a visit to the National Archives.
