TCC approves plan to acquire Ukrainian cement producer, other entities

Taiwanese cement maker TCC Group Holdings plans to acquire a Ukrainian cement
company and three related businesses for up to 750 million euros.

TCC says its Dutch subsidiary will acquire a 100 percent stake in
Ivano-Frankivskcement {ee-VAH-noh franh-KEEFSM suh-MENT} ....

.... along with companies producing roofing materials, gypsum products and
dry-mix mortar.

The deal is still subject to regulatory approval in Taiwan, Ukraine and other
jurisdictions.

TCC says the acquisition will expand its European cement operations into
Eastern Europe and position the company to take part in Ukraine's
reconstruction after the war.

Ivano-Frankivskcement has about 36 percent of Ukraine's cement market and has
continued production since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.

TCC says it also plans to introduce its low-carbon cement technology to the
Ukrainian businesses.
