More than one in three people in Taiwan aged 15 to 64 are now using
generative AI tools such as ChatGPT ...

... moving Taiwan up to 19th place globally in their use ... in Microsoft's
latest Global AI Diffusion Report.

The report tracks generative AI use across 147 economies, taking into account
factors including internet access, device use and population structure.

Microsoft's AI Economy Institute says the rate among people in Taiwan aged 15
to 64 increased by two percentage points from the previous quarter.

Taiwan's adoption rate was also slightly higher than the United States, which
stood at 33 percent ...

... while the global average was around 19 percent.

The United Arab Emirates had the highest adoption rate at over 73 percent,
followed by Singapore at 64 percent.

Microsoft says AI use is growing faster in developed economies than in
emerging ones ... partly because of better access to electricity, internet
infrastructure and digital skills.
