Harry Potter-Inspired Dragon Dance Wins Gold for Taoyuan

The magic of Harry Potter helped Taoyuan's dragon dance team win gold at the
Citizens Sports Games on Sunday.

The team scored 9.17 points with a freestyle routine inspired by the popular
franchise ... turning the dragon ball into a magical prop.

Performers used complex formations and movements to tell the story through
the dragon dance ... while incorporating Hogwarts elements into their
costumes and props.

The team says it repeatedly adjusted the dragon's movements, timing and
formations to better match the story and characters.

The victory gives Taoyuan its second consecutive title in the event ...
following its win at the 2024 Citizens Sports Games.
