Man stabs employee, himself at Fubon Life office in Taipei

A man stabbed an employee at a Fubon Life office in Taipei this morning
before apparently turning the knife on himself.

Police say both men were found unconscious and were taken to hospital for
emergency treatment.

The attack happened just after 11 AM at the company's offices on Jianguo
North Road in Zhongshan District.

Fubon Life says the injured employee works in its communications department
and was attacked by an intruder.

Police say the suspect may have used another person's ID to enter the
building before attacking the employee, apparently at random.

The suspect was initially misidentified because he was carrying the other
person's ID.

Police are investigating the suspect's identity and possible motive.

The conditions of both men were not immediately known.
