Shen touts exchange without political undertones

The DPP's Puma Shen says the Twin Cities Forum should consider how to bring
about concrete benefits to the people...

in an environment free from political interference and conditional
participation.

During his campaign for Taipei mayor, Shen has been supportive of conducting
more exchange with countries around the world instead of just Shanghai and
Beijing.

Shen said that the current version of the Twin Cities Forum is not entirely
necessary...

but added that a format that respects the sovereignty of both sides could be
a valuable opportunity for exchange.
