Taiwan Adds Attack Drones to Joint Military Exercise

President Lai Ching-te says Taiwan's military has used multiple types of
attack drones in a joint combat exercise for the first time ...

.... as it adapts to changes in modern warfare.

Lai made the comments in Pingtung today while inspecting a three-day joint
precision missile exercise involving the army, navy and air force.

The exercise included joint air defense, counter operations, sea and air
coordination, coastal strikes and near-shore defense.

Lai says such exercises help strengthen combat readiness ...

.... and demonstrate the military's ability to defend national sovereignty
... and contribute to regional peace and stability.
