2026 Central Government Budget Expected to Be Sent This Week

The Legislative Yuan says the 2026 central government budget is expected to
be sent to the Presidential Office this week ... after passing its third
reading.

The seven-volume document has been undergoing final proofreading and
compilation.

The legislature says a large number of measures were passed during its final
two sessions in August.

Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu had said staff needed sufficient time to
process those measures and ensure their accuracy.
