TSMC fills ex-dividend gap in 27 minutes

TSMC shares recovered their ex-dividend price adjustment within 27 minutes of
trading this morning.

The chipmaker went ex-dividend for its first-quarter cash payout of about 7
N.T. per share.

TSMC closed at 2-thousand-385 N.T. on Tuesday and opened 5 N.T. lower this
morning.

But buying quickly pushed the stock back to Tuesday's closing level by
9:27a.m.

That marked the 23rd time TSMC has filled its dividend gap on the same day
since switching to quarterly payouts in 2019.

The company will distribute about 181.5-billion N.T. in dividends on October
8th.
