DPP considers stripping party membership of former lawmaker working on

Jiang's campaign for Taichung mayor

The ruling DPP's Taichung branch says it's considering expelling former
lawmaker Lin Feng-xi (林豐喜) from the party ...

... after he became head of an advisory group supporting the opposition KMT
Taichung mayoral candidate Jiang Qi-chen (江啟臣).

The party will discuss the case at a meeting on Wednesday and decide whether
disciplinary action is needed.

DPP Taichung mayoral candidate Ho Hsin-chun (何欣純) says the matter will be
handled by party officials.

The meeting will also address the case of city council candidate Lin Yu-mei,
who left the DPP and registered to run for office.
