Burst pipe in Tainan to be fixed before midnight

Tainan officials say, a burst pipe spewing water onto the road is expected to
be fixed before midnight.

The incident occurred this morning on the East District's Shengli road near
National Cheng-gong (成功) University, with water 10 centimeters deep in some
areas.

The pool has even reached into both Chenggong university campuses nearby.

The Tainan City government says, it's working to fix the pothole as quickly
as possible.

Officials say that a bus was caught in the pothole, but fortunately no
passengers were harmed and they were able to exit the bus.

Tainan officials say they've notified Taiwan Water to turn off service
temporarily and have requested the help of two cranes in removing the bus.
