The DPP Taipei mayoral candidate says, systems preventing and addressing child abuse must be improved.
Otherwise, Puma Shen says, Taipei children will be living in two different worlds.
Shen made the comments this morning after he yesterday brought up the issue to his rival Mayor Chiang Wan An at an event.
He said that such cases of child abuse at schools and daycares in the city have become more and more commonplace...
adding that there may be some room for improvements in the system.
He noted that some alleged victims of child abuse had received counseling while others had not, leading to concerns that not all kids were being treated fairly.
Shen criticized Chiang for what he called blaming others for the faults of his own administration.
