Spanish PM faces pressure over Ceuta

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is facing pressure over Morocco's role in the
Ceuta crisis.

Tens of thousands of Spanish people protested the government's handling of
the situation...

as Sanchez struggled to explain how tens of thousands of people were able to
cross the border between the Spanish exclave and Morocco in July.

He rejected claims that Moroccan authorities had planned the incident but
admitted that Moroccan police had allowed the crossing.

The official death toll from the incident has now risen to 141.

Some have called for Sanchez to step down over the issue, with opposition
leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo accusing the government of lying.

The issue appears to be one of the most serious threats Sanchez' leftist
government has faced.
