Consumer gas prices static: CPC
Posted on 2026-09-01 11:09:13
CPC says, it will keep natural gas prices for domestic and industrial users
unchanges this month...

but will increase prices for companies that generate electricity.

The oil supplier says that LNG prices have been on the rise due to
uncertainty over supply as negotiations between the US and Iran have
stalled...

and European countries push to build up their inventories before the winter.

CPC says it will absorb additional costs for industrial users after taking
into account consumer prices and overall economic conditions.

A statement from the oil supplier added that it has absorbed about 140
billion NT in losses on sales to the industriak sector since 2021.

However, prices for the electricity sector will be increased by just under
6%.

It's not yet clear if that will translate into higher electricity costs.
