Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung will lead an official delegation to Palau tomorrow to attend events surrounding the 55th Pacific Islands Forum summit.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that the weeklong visit running through September 3rd will focus on strengthening bilateral ties with Taiwan's Pacific allies.
Officials say Lin will host the 30th Taiwan-PIF dialogue meeting and meet with Palauan President Surangel Whipps Jr. to review ongoing health and infrastructure projects.
The ministry notes that the delegation includes leaders from Taiwan business groups and representatives from the clean energy, tech, and agricultural industries.
MOFA emphasized that Taiwan remains committed to supporting the Pacific Islands Forum's 2050 development strategy, expanding technical cooperation, scholarships, and resilience funding across the region.
