Landslide alerts have been issued for nearly 350 areas across the south and east today due to ongoing heavy rain and flooding.
As of 12:30, Hualien County's Fuli township had gotten the most rain of all of Taiwan today, with nearly 360 milimeters since midnight.
The Ministry of Agriculture is warning of landslides across Chiayi County, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Taitung, and Hualien, concentrated in 32 townships.
The areas with the highest level of risk are in Kaohsiung Maolin district's Wanshan and Maolin villages, as well as in the Liugui Xinglong and Xinfa neighborhoods...

Residents of areas under red alerts are advised to evacuate immediately.
Meanwhile, evacuations have already begun in parts of Pingtung, where several roads have flooded.
Authorities in the mountainous regions of the county already evacuated 700 residents due to risk of landslides and flooding.
