Premier hopes to work with Han to "restore constitutional order"

Premier Zhuo Rong Tai says, he hopes to work with the legislative speaker to,
in his words, "restore constitutional order."

In comments this morning, Zhuo said that he hopes to work with speaker Han
Kuo-yu to resolve the imbalance of constitutional powers and get back on
track.

That's after Han took to social media yesterday to criticize Zhuo for failing
to countersign an act passed by lawmakers last month.

But Zhuo fired back, asking if the legislature under Han had always adhered
to the constitution.

He added this morning that the refusal to countersign is a power granted to
the Executive Yuan by the Constitution.

In the Executive Yuan's view, the Special Act on Taiwan Future Accounts
passed by the legislature violates principles of separation of powers and tax
laws.
