Taiwan and New Zealand have agreed on six areas for closer cooperation over the next three years under their economic cooperation agreement.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs says the priorities include small and medium-sized businesses, e-commerce, supply chains, food safety and quarantine, environment and trade, and Indigenous cooperation.
The agreement came during the 13th ANZTEC Joint Committee meeting.
Officials also reviewed progress over the past year in areas including digital trade, intellectual property and technical trade rules.
The ministry says New Zealand this year also opened its market to Taiwanese phalaenopsis orchids and cut anthurium flowers.
Taiwanese mangoes, lychees, pineapples and Oncidium cut flowers already have access to the New Zealand market.
