Danjiang Bridge traffic restricted during Tamsui's firework fest over next

Traffic restrictions will be imposed around Tamsui's Fisherman's Wharf and
the Danjiang Bridge during fireworks displays on the next three Sundays.

The New Taipei Transportation Department said restrictions will be in effect
from 4-10pm on Aug. 16, 23 and 30 to ensure safety during the 8pm fireworks.

Roads around the wharf as well as the pedestrian walkway extending from the
seaward side of the Danjiang Bridge to the waterfront will become
pedestrian-only zones during the restricted period.

The department says visitors driving to the wharf will only be allowed to
enter through the waterfront's second entrance, and vehicle access will be
halted once the parking lot reaches capacity.

Bicycles are included in the traffic ban, hence rental of YouBikes at
stations in the area is also suspended from 3 to 10pm for the next few
Sundays.
