THSR's first N700ST train is now on its way to Taiwan

The first of Taiwan High-Speed Rail's 12 new N-700-S-T trainsets has departed
Japan aboard a cargo ship bound for Kaohsiung Port, where it is expected to
arrive on August 15th.

The 12-car train is the first of the new fleet, which will be introduced in
stages from July 2027 through September 2028.

T-H-S-R has also launched an online "voyage log" (or vlog if you will)
documenting the train's journey from Japan to Taiwan, allowing the public to
follow its progress and countdown to its arrival.
