An Urban Resilience Air Defense Exercise is scheduled for Central Taiwan this
afternoon in conjunction with the annual WanAn air raid drill.

The drill will be taking place in Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, Nantou,Chiayi
and Yunlin from between 2:30 and to 3PM.

When the alarm sounds, police officers and other government personnel will
direct people to air defense shelters or other safe indoor locations.

Traffic controls will be implemented across the are during the exercise, and
members of the public are required to follow evacuation instructions.

People who violate the evacuation order face a fine of up 150,000 N-T.

There will also be a 4G and 5G mobile network slowdown simulation for the
first time.

The network slowdown simulation will last for the entire 30-minute drill.

However, standard voice calls, SMS text messages, emergency hotlines and
fixed broadband/Wi-Fi will continue to function.
