The Central Weather Administration lifted its sea warning for Typhoon Dolphin
at 11:30 last night.

This, after Dolphin weakened into a tropical storm and moved towards China's
Zhejiang Province.

The storm's outer rim had moved away from northern Taiwan proper late
yesterday afternoon, but Matsu continued to experience strong winds and rain
overnight.

The weather administration says cumulative rainfall in mountainous areas of
Taipei and Taichung approached 30-centimeters as the storm's outer rim moved
away from Taiwan island, while around 20-centimeters had been recorded in
mountainous areas of Hsinchu and Miaoli.

The storm brought strong winds and heavy rain to northern Taiwan, causing
some scattered damage.

Taipei's disaster response center said it had received 261 incidents of
damage mainly fallen trees, minor damage to structures and damage to power
and traffic infrastructure.

Six people were injured.

New Taipei and Taoyuan also reported scattered incidents, including fallen
trees, flooding and minor structural damage, but no major incidents were
reported.

The Civil Aeronautics Administration reported 79 domestic and 115
international and cross-strait flight cancellations on Sunday.

While the Maritime and Port Bureau has announced that 72 sailings on eight
routes, including the Keelung-Matsu route, will be suspended today.
