Taiwan's National Financial Stabilization Fund says trading in T-S-M-C shares generated nearly 7.8 billion NT in profit during its latest market intervention.
The fund says gains from T-S-M-C accounted for about 77 percent of its total profit of almost 10 billion NT.
The stabilization fund invested about 12.3 billion NT during the 279-day intervention, the longest in its history, after Taiwanese stocks plunged following U-S President Donald Trump's announcement of reciprocal tariffs.
Officials say the fund completed the sale of its holdings in May, earning an overall return of about 81 percent.
T-S-M-C was the fund's largest investment, accounting for nearly two-thirds of its total purchases, while stakes in Hon Hai, A-S-E Technology and several other blue-chip companies also generated profits.
