Survey shows around 70% of Taiwanese use AI agents on weekly basis

A survey by Mastercard Taiwan shows that nearly 70-per cent of people here in
Taiwan use artificial intelligence agents at least once a week.

According to the "2026 Survey on Consumer AI Usage Habits in Taiwan," ChatGPT
and Gemini are the A-I tools most commonly used by respondents.

The survey found that 38-per cent of respondents consulted A-I when making
shopping decisions, while 61-per cent said they would be willing to use A-I
to help plan travel itineraries.

It also found that 57-per cent would allow A-I agents to automatically search
for products based on their preferences and budgets, then complete purchases
after receiving user confirmation, in the hope of improving shopping
efficiency.

Younger adults aged between 18 and 30 were the most frequent A-I users, with
more than 40-per cent reporting daily use and 27-per cent paying for A-I
subscriptions.
