Airline fuel surcharges for int'l routes to go up from Aug. 9

The Civil Aviation Administration has announced that fuel surcharges on both short-haul and long-haul international flights operated by Taiwan airlines will increase from August 9.

... and after C-P-C's reference price for international aviation fuel rose to 147.57 U-S dollars per barrel this month from 133.29 U-S dollars per barrel last month.
Fuel surcharges for short-haul routes will rise from 27.5 to 30 U-S dollars, while surcharges for long-haul routes will rise from the current 71.5 to 78 U-S dollars.
The administration defines short-haul routes as destinations in Asia, excluding India and the Middle East. Long-haul routes include India, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Africa, Oceania and Antarctica.
