The ruling DPP has criticized the opposition KMT over funding for the govenment's drone development plan.
The proposed cuts would be to an Executive Yuan 6 year plan for drone funding, with a pricetag of over 44 billion NT.
The DPP warns that cutting the funding would hurt disaster relief, agriculture, pubilc safety, and industrial development...
... accusing the KMT of undermining Taiwan's drone industry despite publicly claiming to support it.
The KMT rejects the criticism, saying it fully supports drone development and has proposed seperate legislation with a much larger 240 billion NT budget.
Those funds would be slotted into a general budget, rather than being allocated in a special budget.
It argues that the Cabinet's plan was approved through a legally flawed budget process.
