The Food and Drug Administration has expanded the list of products under precautionary recall due to the presence of a contaminated cooking oil.
The F-D-A has now raised the number of products to just over 400 items.
These include 14 convenience store meals made by Ping Rong Foods' Xinfeng plant, eight Wei Wong instant noodle products, 33 products from Louisa Coffee, and packaged chicken from C-P Enterprise.
The Keelung City Health Bureau says 80 convenience store food items produced by Lian Hwa Foods' Keelung plant that appeared on the F-D-A's list are no longer on store shelves because they had either been sold or had expired.
In Taichung, authorities have identified five third-tier food businesses that had used or purchased products made with the tainted oil - and all of those affected items have now been removed from sale.
While in Pingtung, officials said over 6,000-kilograms of sauces, broths and other products had been precautionarily removed from the market.
