Extension of stock trading hours not a 'priority'

The Financial Supervisory Commission says extending stock market trading
hours is not a priority and there's no timetable for making the change.

FSC Chairman Peng Jin-lung (彭金龍) says trading will stay at its current hours
of 9 AM to 1:30 PM until there's broader public consensus.

His comments come after Taiwan Stock Exchange Chairman Sherman Lin said last
week the exchange is studying longer trading hours because Taiwan's market
closes earlier than many others around the region.
