Explosions have rocked Damascus as French President Emmanuel Macron meets with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa.
Syria's Interior Ministry says at least 18 people were injured in the blasts, which occurred near the Four Seasons Hotel where Macron is reportedly staying.
French officials say Macron is safe and his meeting with al-Sharaa continued as planned.
Macron is the first major Western leader to visit Syria since al-Sharaa came to power. The visit is aimed at strengthening economic ties as Syria seeks foreign investment after years of war.
Authorities are investigating the explosions, and no group has immediately claimed responsibility.
